Welcome to our Ever Loved page for Marcus. We're using this space to keep family and friends updated in one place during an incredibly difficult time. Your support, love, and kind words mean more than we can say—thank you for being here.
On the evening of October 4, 2025, Marcus was a passenger in a vehicle involved in a tragic accident on Route 196, near the Merrymeeting Bridge in Topsham, ME.
His passing was sudden, and our hearts are broken.
Right now, the family is taking time to grieve and process this unimaginable loss. If you’re looking for a way to help, we ask you to consider contributing toward Marcus’s celebration of life— whether it's food or help (https://tinyurl.com/28uxkpks) Coors Light (Marcus would’ve definitely wanted the beer covered), or for the memorial we’re planning at the place he loved.
Marcus was so many things—a son, a brother, a friend—but above all, he was a light. A joy to be around. He lived with a fierce sense of humor, a deep love for his people, and of course, an unmatched passion for disc golf. He used to claim he always “backpacked his brother when they played,” and anyone who played a round with him knows just how competitive he was.
To celebrate that spirit, any monetary gift will go towards the Marcus Steinman Memorial Fund, which will be used to create a lasting tribute in his honor. The hope is to place a memorial at a disc golf course he would have loved, or a quiet bench where friends and family can sit, feel his spirit, and watch the sunset—just as he would have wanted.
