Marcus Lewis passed away at his home in Memphis, TN on July 23, 2019 at the age of 68.

Marcus is predeceased by his parents, Michael and Edna Lewis, and his brother, Lawrence Lewis. Marcus was born in Memphis on April 16, 1951. He graduated from Central High School in 1969. After graduating, Marcus followed his passion for music by playing in a band part time, while maintaining a career as an auto mechanic for more than 30 years.

Marcus enjoyed basketball, cars, fishing and playing music and performing at family events and reunions.

Marcus is lovingly remembered by Sheila, his wife of 38 years, sister Debra (Joseph) Lewis-Hale of Memphis, and sons Marcus Jr (Tamika) and Martin. Marcus will also be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Imani, Michelle, Deandre and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and other relatives.

The visitation will be held at RS Lewis & Sons Funeral Home, 374 Vance Avenue, Memphis, TN 38126 on August 2, 2019 at 11:00 am.

The funeral service will be held at RS Lewis & Sons Funeral Home on August 3, 2019 at 10:30 am with Pastor Willie Johnson officiating. Interment to follow at Elmwood Cemetery, 824 S. Dudley Street, Memphis, TN 38104 at 12 pm. A repast will immediately follow the burial service at the home of Sheila Lewis.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
