Marc's obituary
Marcus Lamar Cheatwood, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, son, and friend, passed away on Saturday, November 23, 2024. Born on February 26, 1971, in Heflin, Alabama, Marcus was the cherished son of Mervil and Sandra Cheatwood and a devoted brother to his sister, Kerry Cheatwood Mitchell.
Marcus graduated from Gardendale High School in 1989, marking the beginning of a life dedicated to hard work and service. He embarked on a successful career with UPS, where his dedication and work ethic were admired by colleagues and friends alike.
A man of deep faith, Marcus was known for his unwavering devotion to spreading the word of God. His spiritual influence touched many lives, inspiring those around him to embrace and share their faith with others. His legacy of faith and love will continue to resonate through the lives of those he inspired.
Marcus is survived by his devoted wife: Julie Cheatwood and his loving children: Joel (Sophia) Cheatwood, Savanna Cheatwood, Whitney Davis, Hunter Davis, Jordan (Elizabeth) Davis, and John Colton (Grace) Davis. He was a proud grandfather to Cooper and Cameron Cheatwood, as well as Jase and John Paul Davis. His family was the cornerstone of his life, and he cherished every moment spent with them.
Marcus's life was a testament to the power of love, faith, and family. His memory will be forever cherished by those who knew him, and his spirit will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
