Background
During this difficult time, we are seeking monetary donations to aid in the support of the funeral expenses for our beloved Marcia Renee’ Payne. Renee’ or Rennie, as she we lovingly referred to by family and friends, was not your average woman. She was an absolute angel on earth, one who was always planning and doing for others, but she simply ran out of time to plan for herself. She was the one who saw a need and God used her to be a blessing to everyone she met. Often, she was over a committee where she would need to solicit help from others, and everyone entrusted that the outcome would be executed with genuine class. She had a special calling for working with youth and in particular, adolescent girls. Many of us can tell stories about who she was and how she touched our lives. Rennie was always serving, leading, giving, singing, teaching, loving, praising God, and walking in a light. She lit up the room! Help us as we continue to make sure that her legacy and light continues to fill the hearts of young people and Union Baptist Church for many years to come. This Memorial Fund is not only to help aid in the expenses of her home going celebration but also as a scholarship to a graduate who exemplifies the qualities that she poured into others throughout her lifetime.
