Thank you for all sharing your thoughts and stories about Marcy, a special soul we all knew, loved and cherished.
I hope you have decorated a heart and the tray, smiled at the memory board, picked a plant and taken a bookmark or two for those who could not be here -

Eulogy — Selma Goker Wilson
Selma who couldn’t be at the event asked her husband Christopher Wilson to read the below out on her behalf.
My heart and thoughts are with all of you as you contemplate your own special moments and thoughts of Marcy
I met Marcy at Kohls shopping with Danielle one evening. I was with my daughter who was Danielle’s classmate at Pine View. While the girls talked, Marcy struck up a conversation with me asking many questions, as I later learned she is apt to do. From there I became her friend converging over our children. I then became her client as she solved my plantar fasciitis, my TMJ and other aches and pains. In time I also became her executor.
I am sure Marcy thought long and deep before asking me to take the duty on because her decisions were always thought out. Once agreed, we navigated that relationship and developed the level of trust that is needed for that role. And it couldn’t have happened without Marcy’s faith in the goodness of others. I am honored that she... Read more trusted me.
We had many special moments. I am missing the very brutally honest but equally light conversations we were able to have, even on the topic of death. Her cards I will miss too. And her ability to remind me of the things I had forgotten. The little details. How could she possibly remember all of that? I think it is because she geniuinely cared and wanted to know. I now know she did this will all her friends. Isn’t that amazing?
Marcy was very specific about what she wanted and how she wanted it. İn the process of assisting her with various tasks and decisions I learned a lot. As I observed her strategy to achieve what she wanted to achieve, I could see her skills developed at an early age in a family of 10 kids! Her resourcefulness and determination were commendable. As I heard snippets of her life story, I hoped that I would one day be able to put all the pieces together in a timeline. But each time I would discover something new that she had done or place she had been. And I would wonder how she fit it all in.
I am grateful for the opportunity Marcy gave me in choosing me to be her executer. And Danielle and Michael have been an added bonus to my life. Read lessSelma who couldn’t be at the event asked her husband Christopher Wilson to read the below out on her behalf.
