Marcella "Marcie" Corpening, a loving and generous soul, passed away on April 23, 2023. Marcie was born on January 2, 1928, in Emporia, KS, one of five children of Emil Herman and Minnie (Foerster) Hitzeman. Marcie was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, and her son, Jerry Corpening.

Marcie is survived by her devoted son, Kenny Corpening, her cherished granddaughter, Amanda Noel (Eric), and two great-granddaughters. She also leaves countless nieces, nephews, and cherished friends. Her spirit will live on in their hearts, along with the hearts of all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Marcie lived a life filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories. She had a deep appreciation for classic country music, which brought her joy and comfort throughout her life. In her free time, Marcie enjoyed visiting garage sales in search of hidden treasures and cooking delicious meals for her loved ones. She had a true talent for making everyone feel welcome and well-fed.

Marcie's enduring legacy will be one of kindness and generosity, with no friends or family left hungry. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend who brought warmth and joy to those around her. Her unwavering dedication to caring for others will never be forgotten, and the memories shared in her company will be cherished by all who knew her.
