It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Marceline "Marcie" Ledbetter. Marceline was called to eternal rest on January 13, 2025, following a life filled with love, laughter, and creativity.
Born on April 10, 1955, in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Known fondly as Marcie by her loved ones. While Marcie faced challenges throughout her life, She was known for her creativity, she was a woman of many passions, and her hands were never idle. Her favorite recreational activities included sewing, creating art, baking, and most of all, caring for her beloved granddaughter, Winter.
A fierce devotee of her family, Marceline's greatest accomplishments were her children and grandchildren. She reveled in their successes and supported them through their tribulations. As a mother and devoted grandmother, she leaves behind her loving children, Marcel Prevuznak, Jeniene Grantmeyer, Amy Ledbetter, Gerald Layton, Audrey Codeiro, and James Layton. Her memory will also be cherished by her siblings, Elizabeth Dunn, Catherine Watkins, Richard Dunn, Theresa King, Joseph Dunn, and John Dunn. And several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Marceline was predeceased by her parents, Richard and Mary Dunn. She mourns the loss of her daughters, Vanessa and Cassandra Ledbetter, whom she has now rejoined in eternal rest. , Gerald Layton, who was her partner in life and love, also precedes her in death. Though their absence left an indescribable void, their memories continue to live on within Marceline's beating heart and now serve as a beacon of guidance from above.
Marceline's generous spirit, infectious laughter, and love for her family will be deeply missed, but her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those she touched. In the garden of memory, Marceline continues to bloom in a thousand vistas. May she rest in peace amidst the divine symphony of eternity.
