Maqing Pan passed away on August 29th, 2021 from complications that arose from a brain tumour recurrence.
Maqing was born in 1963 in Xiaoshan, China. Graduating university at 20 years old, she became an English teacher at Hangzhou Foreign Language School (HFLS), kicking off a lifelong career in education. HFLS was also where Maqing had met Hongmao Yang, a fellow teacher, and they wed in 1986, going on to have twin daughters in 1994. In …
