Manuel's obituary
Manuel was born on the 7th day of April 1953 to Manuel Guzman and Maximiliana Lopez in Autlan, Jalisco. At a young age the Guzman family moved to Tijuana B.C. my grandfather was looking for a better future for his family. Manuel was a very charismatic son with a heart of gold, he would often get himself in trouble because even at a young age he was stubborn and determined to try things his way. He was always looking to better himself and those around him. With that attitude and his fathers advice he tackled the world, not knowing that he would one day pass along the same values he grew up on to his own family. Father you instilled in us great values, same values we now pass on to our kids. Till we meet again Rest in Paradise my dear father.
Manuel, helped his brothers in the family business under the watchful eye of his father, together they made the business a success. At the age of 17 Manuel met our Mother Ignacia Gonzalez, together they formed a beautiful family that include 6 boys and 3 girls. The eldest of them is Gerardo, Carlos, Ignacio, Antonio, Artemio, Liliana, Consuelo, Manuel, and the final blessing being Lucero. You may be gone physically but your spirit will continue to live in each of us, your words of advice echoing throughout the years. Thank you father for loving our mother unconditionally.
Manuel, was a force of nature, determined to provide for his family and give them the life he felt they deserved. His family meant more to him than anything else in the world, something he often mentioned. He was unendingly proud of all his kids, but a parents job is never over. He went before us to pave the way, so that we all meet up again someday.
Manuel was passionate about his garden, if at home you could find him watering his plants or clearing out the weeds. My mother shared the same passion and they would always find ways to complete with each other. My dad was a traveling man, going from California to Washington State and down to Tijuana B.C my mother a loyal companion always by his side. Without saying a word to anyone he took his final ride, we lost a father and gained an angel, who will now watch us from up above with a fathers pride and lots of love.
Anyone who knew Manuel knew that he was the most loving father and husband a family could ask for. Manuel was predeceased by both parents and brothers Marcelino, Jorge, Rogelio and sisters Engracia, and Consuelo. He is now reunited with those he once grieved for as we grieve for him. May the Lord have mercy on their souls. He is survived by his oldest sister Sara and brother Roberto who stay in our prayers.
The family requests that all flowers and notes are sent to Salser & Dillard Funeral Chapel . There will be a service and viewing on Tuesday August 25th and we will lay our father to rest Wednesday August 26th at Exeter District Cemetery located on; 719 E. Marinette Ave. Exeter CA 93221
