Mandy's obituary

Mandy Renee Gerace

October 8, 1976 - February 4, 2023

Mandy Renee Gerace, the beloved daughter of Carmen and Donna Gerace, passed away unexpectedly on February 4th, 2023. She was 46 years old.

Mandy grew up in the small town of Welby surrounded by the greenhouses of her family business. She graduated from Colorado State University with a Communications degree. After a decade of working in Sales & Marketing for the Shane Co., Mandy went back to her roots at Welby Gardens where she was the hardystarts Program Manager for 13 years. She was passionate about the green industry’s tight-knit community and developing relationships all over the world. In 2020, she landed her dream job, working at Syngenta Flowers.

Mandy was a wonderful, loving mom. Ethan and Reese were her life, and she was incredibly proud of them. Nothing brought her more love and joy than her kids. She loved her family and friends fiercely and always made time for them. She was adventurous and loved traveling, hiking, and skiing. She had a passion for baking and made the best chocolate chip cookies. She also enjoyed walking her beloved dogs, Dexter & Frankie, with her boyfriend, Mike.

She lived life to the fullest and loved with every ounce of her being. She easily made her way into the hearts of everyone around her with her positive energy and fun-loving spirit. Her beautiful smile would light up a room and she was welcoming to everyone she encountered. Mandy truly touched so many lives with her selfless nature.

Mandy is survived by her children, Ethan, 21 & Reese, 19; her parents Carmen & Donna; her siblings Mark (Joni), Marty (Candi), Matt (Deb), Mike (Dianne), Michele (Clinton); her boyfriend Mike Barela, her cousin and life-long best friend, Giovanna Romero, and many more loving aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, and cousins.

Our sweet Mandy will undoubtedly be missed by those who knew and loved her, but we take comfort knowing that her spirit will live on in each and every one of us and our shared memories will last forever.

A Celebration of Life for Mandy will be held at Chateaux at Fox Meadows, 13600 Xavier Lane in Broomfield, Colorado on Thursday, February 16, 2023, from 5:30 pm – 8:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, please consider making donations to help care for Mandy’s children, Ethan and Reese Foster. A memorial page is set up at https://everloved.com/life-of…

As a tribute to Mandy’s love of baking, please bring a dessert or baked goods to share at the celebration.
