Malcolm's obituary
Malcolm was a loving son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, uncle, and friend. He was also known by a few nicknames. He was our Malcolm in the middle, our Mal, our Mac, and he was known through his music as Young E.T.
Malcolm was born on January 8th to Kristine Serota-Caldwell in Colorado Springs, CO.
Throughout Malcolm’s life, he also lived in New Mexico, Illinois, Arizona, and South Carolina. Malcolm grew up along side his very close knit family; to include his wonderful and loving mom and dad, his older sister, younger brother, his Nana and Grampi and his Auntie and two cousins. After graduating from Liberty High-School in 2017 in Arizona, Malcolm moved to his final destination in South Carolina with his family.
One of Malcolm’s hobbies was biking and skate boarding at the park. He would spend hours there practicing his tricks over and over until he finally got them right and then was so excited to show anyone who would watch.
Anyone who knew Malcom, knew that he had a way with words. Through journaling, poetry and song writing, Malcolm expressed himself in written form in a way that was far beyond his years. Malcolm had an immense passion for music and was always a source of inspiration when it came to his lyrics.
Malcolm loved his rescue dog, Coco. Malcolm and Coco had been together since 2015. Anywhere Malcolm went, Coco was not far behind him. When you saw the two of them together, the question became: who rescued who?
Malcolm was a bright and kind individual who held long-term friendships with different kinds of people across the country. Extremely out-going; all Malcolm had to do was flash his million-dollar smile and he could charm the pants off anyone. He loved to strike conversation with strangers and compliment them in some way that made lasting impacts on them.
Malcolm’s family and friends will miss him more than words can say but they take comfort in knowing he has joined his beloved Nana in heaven.
Malcolm is survived by his parents, Kristine Serota-Caldwell & William Fuentes. His sister, Kristiana and his brother, Jackson. His grandfather, Barry. His aunt, Joi and cousins, Elisibeth and Ericka. Nephews, Blake and Greyson. His rescue dog, Coco and many other aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
