Maggie's obituary
Remembering Maggie
Maggie “Moo” Workman crossed the rainbow bridge Tuesday, July 5th, 2022, after a short battle with Cushing's disease at Catoctin Vet Clinic with her Daddy by her side. Mommy was on the way, but Maggie knew it was better that she wasn’t there.
Born December 30, 2013, in Thurmont, Maryland Maggie was adopted by Robert and Amanda Workman just 6 short weeks later. She is survived by her dog brother, Patches, and human sister Scarlett along with loving human grandparents, human great-grandparents, human aunts/uncles and lots of human nieces and nephew.
Maggie’s favorite activities were going for “bye-bye” rides in the car, licking the air when you blew into her face, getting all the belly rubs you were willing to offer, knocking her food out of the bowl to eat it off the floor and leaving nose art on any window surface. If we are being honest, Maggie loved everything life had to offer, except her experience at the beach, she did not like the sand. When she was a puppy, she loved chewing through phone chargers (even though Mom and Dad told her no), as she got older, she loved shaking stuffed animals until she was worn out. She enjoyed sunbathing on the deck and flapping her ears.
More than anything else, she loved her family. She loved eating snacks in the middle of the night with her Dad, cuddling up with Patches on the couch, playing vacuum when Scarlett dropped crumbs on the floor and endless cuddles and kisses from her Mom. She loved being the center of attention and she knew how cute she was, she used it to the fullest advantage. Those floppy ears and her puppy side eye would let her get away with (almost) anything! She truly had a one-in-a-million personality, and she was lucky to have been loved by so many people. Maggie was best at unconditional love, if you walked into our house, she would be ready to greet you with endless kisses (whether you wanted them or not). She saw the good in everyone and taught us that sometimes all you need in life is a kind and gentle dog to love and be loved by. She was that dog to many.
Maggie spent her last days surrounded by family. She laid on her favorite blanket, ate some peanut butter and soaked in all the hugs, cuddles, and kisses. Her last days were full of love, and she will be cherished forever.
We will think of her every time we see a smear of nose art on a window. We will miss her every time we want to come home and be greeted by the best puppy kisses. We will remember her always.
She will be forever missed, but she left behind her fierce and endless love, and we are so lucky to have had such an amazing dog that she made saying goodbye so hard.
Maggie will be cremated by Valley Pet of Williamsport, MD and return home with her forever-loving family.
The family asks that you give all your pups some extra love in honor of Maggie!
