Maggali Duverneau-Deleon, born August 26, 1961, passed away peacefully on May 7, 2024. Maggali was a beacon of strength, positivity, and love. Her independent spirit and unapologetic pursuit of personal goals fiercely resonated with all who knew her. Known for her authentic and loving personality, she had an admirable way of treating others with grace while constantly promoting self-love and compassion.
Born into a nurturing family, she grew into a remarkable woman whose accomplishments were many. Among her most cherished achievements were the successful raising of her son, Gregory, who stands as a testament to her loving nature and dedication. As a talented hairstylist, she brought joy and confidence to numerous clients, affirming her commitment to helping others feel and look their best. Her professional acumen extended further as she became a licensed realtor and tax preparer, showcasing her diverse talents and admirable work ethic. Additionally, she cultivated a successful farm that grew plants and vegetables, further promoting health and wellness within her community.
Magali is survived by her son Gregory Gunn, grandson Sebaschen Woodard, sisters Carole Duverneau and Michelle Duverneau Carries, niece Tamara Charles, nephew Patrick Charles and family, nephew Richard Carries, and niece Antoinette Duverneau-Dicken and family. To celebrate her life, a service will be held on June 1, 2024, at 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Visitation Catholic Church with the Repass immediately after in the Church Parish Hall.
