I would like to offer my deepest condolences to the Salloum family. Pastor Magead Salloum was a kind and compassionate man whose presence was undeniable. He carried a warmth that immediately made you feel at ease, heard, and valued. He was a charismatic preacher, full of wisdom, who moved in the prophetic and operated in a powerful healing anointing.
I met Pastor Magead around 2012 or 2013 at a home Bible study in DeWitt, NY. I vividly remember one evening when twelve of us attended the study, and he referred to us as the twelve disciples. He prayed a special prayer over us that night, a moment that has stayed with me ever since.
That same year, I had rededicated my life to Jesus and was hungry for the Word of God. Pastor Magead had a true heart for teaching and discipling anyone who desired to learn. Eventually, many of us began driving 45 minutes to an hour to attend his church in Rome, NY. Meeting Pastor Magead’s family and the members of The New Testament Church felt like the icing on the cake. Everyone made us feel safe, welcomed, and genuinely loved.
With an open heart, I want to thank you all for loving me when I was emotionally wounded and bleeding on others. You showed me the love of Christ at a time when I needed it most. God allowed me to meet Pastor Magead and his church family during a season when I was in need of mental, emotional, and spiritual healing. While walking through a difficult divorce, God performed spiritual surgery on my heart through His people.
Because of this, God has laid you all upon my heart, and I am committed to holding you up in prayer. First Lady Beverly, please know that I believe I have been assigned to cover you in prayer for a season. I will continue to do so until God directs otherwise.

To the family of Pastor Magead Salloum, Beverly, children, and the whole family I send my condolences to all of you. I am so sorry to hear of his passing. I did receive a face book message to pray for him but there was no follow up from that person. I just tonight found out from a friend who read it in the Rome Sentinel and told me. I am so sorry I didn't know. I know God is comforting all of you now. I am planning on being there one of those days at the church this week. God bless you all .

Beverly and family, my sincere condolences to you all. Pastor Magead was such a blessing as Syracuse Aglow Clergy Advisor for several years. He preached and prophesied with power at several Aglow gatherings. He is a powerful Holy Spirit-filled mighty man of God who blessed so many , here in Syracuse as well as elsewhere. Additionally Pastor Magead ministered powerfully to many Muslim and Christian Iraqi refugees who arrived in Syracuse 2009/10. Pastor came to Syracuse every Sunday night for a long period of time to minister in the Arabic language at an Aglow sponsored service for Iraqis at Fathers Heart Ministry. His impact will never be forgotten, nor stop having impact on those he touched and to their generations.

So sorry with his passing to family and others who loved him. He truly loved & was there for all. He was there at the bedside of a friend bringing him to the Lord before he passed. He baptized my son and myself at my other son’s pool & afterwards enjoyed lunch together with some beautiful talk. Recently he helped talking to my son as he needed guidance. He’s always there with Love & Compassion. Truly a great loss but he is having great rewards with the Lord Himself. God Comfort all his family.

You were a great man, a kind man, and I remember you so fondly. My heart goes out to your family and loved ones whose grief I cannot imagine, but I know what you would say: “if you could see me and see what I see, there would be no tears.” This world is less without you but heaven is so much greater. I will always have deep love for you in my heart as the father figure you were to me in my most formative years. Your influence will live on through your family, your church and the thousands of lives you touched. Of you it will always be said that “he lived well and he loved well.” You are missed!

You were a great man and I learned a lot from you when I was young! Your family loved you so much and you were a blessing to all of them! I was able to see you a few times in the last couple of years and you treated me with respect and love! You will be greatly missed and I pray for the peace that surpasses all understanding for your family during this time!
