Magdalena's obituary
Magdalena “Nena” Espino Cadiz, born in 1937 in the Philippines, passed away peacefully in Las Vegas, NV on Aug. 13, 2024 at the age of 87. She left this world surrounded by the warmth and love of her son, husband, daughter-in-law, and her three cherished grandchildren in a group home.
Nena was the embodiment of strength, joy, and generosity. An immigrant who journeyed from the Philippines to the United States, she built a successful and fulfilling life through unwavering determination and a self-made spirit. Her cheerful presence, kind heart, and willingness to help anyone in need made her deeply loved and admired by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Ricardo “Richard” Cadiz, who followed her in passing one year later on October 24, 2025. She is also survived by her loving son, Christopher, and her three grandchildren, who were the light of her life.
In accordance with her wishes, Nena was cremated, and her remains were laid to rest at the VA cemetery, where she rests in peaceful reunion with her beloved Richard who was a U.S. Veteran.
Nena’s legacy is one of love, resilience, hard work, and compassion. Her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and the many people whose lives she touched throughout her lifetime.
