Dear Mom,

You were a positive influence and my greatest supporter. I made it here because of you. You were the most altruistic person I have ever met, and I strive to embody the same selflessness and generosity that you exemplified in my own life. Unlike others I have encountered who have often taken from me with a sense of entitlement and without any sense of gratitude, you gave so much of yourself expecting nothing in return. You always encouraged me to help those in need whenever possible, and that’s a principle I carry with me every day. I can only hope to live up to the example you set, to continue being the person you believed I could be, and to carry on your legacy in everything I do. Please watch over me and your grandkids as we navigate this world without you. Your love and guidance are needed now more than ever. Help me cope with the pain of losing you and find some peace in my heart so I can carry on with everything I still need to accomplish in this lifetime. Thank you for all that you gave me, for the love, the lessons, and the endless support. I hope, with all my heart, that I can see you again in another life, where we can be together once more.
