Mable Lawrence Rentz, age 90, of Baxley passed away Saturday, January 14, 2023 at Memorial Health Meadows in Vidalia.

Mrs. Rentz was born June 15, 1932 in Appling County to the late Luther Lawrence and the late Mattie Beasley Lawrence. She was a member of Memorial Free Will Baptist Church and was employed for twelve years with Appling and Bacon County Extension Service. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Hugh Rentz; sisters, Maude Boone and Allene Coleman; and brothers, Edgar Lawrence and Tom Lawrence.

Survivors include her sons, Terry (Beth) Rentz of Baxley, Mike (Jackie) Rentz of Valdosta, and Chris (Broni) Rentz of Baxley; sister, Dot Taylor of Dothan, Alabama; eight grandchildren; and twenty great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held Monday, January 16, 2023 at 11:30 a.m. at Memorial Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Tommy Daniels officiating.

Active pallbearers will be Grant Rentz, Daniel Rentz, Jeremy Rentz, Tom Griffin, Jim Lawrence, John Lawrence, and Tommy Lawrence.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
