Lysle's obituary
Lysle N. Rose, 66, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his wife and daughters, on Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at his home in Laurens. He was born the son of the late Lysle B. and Dorothy (Drake) Rose on September 8, 1957 in Oneonta.
Lysle was a great father, husband, and Pop-Pop. He will be deeply missed. Lysle’s favorite pastime was playing golf at the Colonial Ridge Golf Course. He had a pitch and putt course on his lawn so he could practice. He would often joke about being a kid with his kids and grandchildren. He enjoyed building tube trails for his kids, landscaping, and taking care of his property. Family and friends will remember Lysle as hard working, goofy, and a dork who always seemed to make up his own words. His family hopes that you remember his “Lysleisms” and smile every time that you think of him.
Lysle is survived by his wife, Teresa; children, Marissa Rose, Joshua (Maria) Bell, and Lindsay (Matthew) Muller; sisters, Rosemary Elderkin, Sarah Dragt, and Patricia Lull; grandchildren Eli, Emerson, and Everett Muller, and beloved dog Sparky, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents and sisters Dottie Coughlin, Helen Musser, and Ann Crawford.
Calling hours will be held at the Johnston & Stanimer Funeral Home, 60 Broad St., Morris on Wednesday, December 20, 2023 from 1:00-3:00 PM. His Memorial Service will be at 3:00 PM with Pastor John Buddle, officiating. A Celebration of Life at the Morris VFW, 314 Ellis Rd., Morris, will follow from 4:00-8:00 PM.
