I had a number of advising conversations with Lynus during his time at UMass, and I always appreciated his thoughtfulness and his breadth of interests. I am so, so sorry to hear of his passing. Sending much strength and comfort to his friends and family.

My prayer, uttered silently in my heart, from the moment I learned of Lynus' death has been "Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual Light shine upon his face. May all who love him and are loved by him be at peace." This prayer was beautifully expressed repeatedly at Lynus' funeral. I continue to hold it in my heart. May you the expressions of love expressed here and received today at the funeral hold you. Peace and Love be with each of you. Marion & Ted Gittings

Our hearts go out to you in this tragic loss. Rest assured you are in our prayers. —Brian and Sylvia Giese
Your whole family is so amazing to me. I've always been in awe of your gifts and the gentle and kind way you love those around you, and the incredible people you have raised your kids to be. Know that you are so loved. My prayers are for peace and comfort that transcends what is natural in this time. Sending all my love.
Sending you and everyone who knew Lynus so much love.
