Words cannot express the deep pain and devastation we are feeling for your family right now. Lynus was like a brother to our kids, ever since our families met in Japan in 2003 – we share memories from across the years and continents, whenever and wherever God would work it out for us to meet up, even sharing a couple of months living in the same city (here in Ishinomaki) in 2013. We were blessed to reconnect with Lynus as an adult when he visited our family for a couple of weeks while traveling around Japan in 2019. Brilliant, creative, gentle and loving to all - we will miss you so much, Lynus.

Our hearts and prayers are with you, Christian, Shelley, Astrid and Asmund. We love you. - The Huddleston Family

Shelley, Christian, Astrid and Asmund,
We are so saddened and heartbroken for you. Even though we haven’t been able to get together in the last few years, we have fond memories of Lynus when you visited us in Tsukuba and Moberly and when we were able to spend time together by the lake in Michigan. In recent years, we enjoyed hearing from his grandparents about his new interests and adventures. He was such a beautiful young man and clearly full of great potential. He will be missed by so many people whose lives he touched in special ways.
We hold on to the hope that in some way beyond our capacities to understand, things will be made right, and the suffering in this world will someday be displaced by a world in which there is no more suffering and tears. Our thoughts and profoundest prayers are with you in this time of grief. We love you. Aunt Faith and Uncle Paul

I am absolutely gutted to hear about this. As his youth soccer coach, friend and fellow motorcycle fanatic my heart goes out to everyone who knew Lynus. Such a genuine hard working soul. It was an honor to hand him his Medford Youth Soccer player of the season award.
We were deeply saddened when we heard about Lynus’ passing. Helen shared with us how he was welcoming, funny, and kind. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

We are so shocked and deeply saddened to learn that Lynus has passed. When we think of him we think of his many and varied interests and talents, his humor and intelligence, his energy and vitality. The loss is immense, and our hearts go out to your family. Sending love from our whole family.
The last time we saw Lynus he was toting an old-school medium format camera as well as a Canon AE - considered a classic SLR from back when I was a kid in the 80s. He was excited to enter a world without the filters, for the tactile nature of loading a roll of 35mm film, for the warm hues and delightful distortions produced by a chemical process. We will always remember him for his sense of wonder, his fearlessness to tackle a new project, his ability to take something old and make it new. -Greg, TY, Ellie and Isabel
Beyond words that can never express what you feel with this loss.
Beautiful soul, beautiful boy, inside and out. We may never understand why this happens, all we can do is to try to make sense and live with pain and love the best we can. Even a short interaction with Lynus was an unforgettable impact like a spark of light. Praying for him and for your consolation... Love to all of you...
