With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our cherished mother, Lynn Skea, who left us on January 30, 2025 at the age of 74. Her warmth, kindness, and unwavering love were the foundation of our family, and her memory will remain forever etched in our hearts.

Born on March 30, 1950 in Vancouver, Mom lived a life marked by compassion, strength, and grace. She dedicated herself wholeheartedly to her family, always placing the needs of others before her own. Her gentle touch, wise words, and boundless generosity made her a source of comfort and strength to everyone who knew her.

Mom found joy in life’s simple moments—family dinners, vacations, family pets, tending her home and garden on Barnston Island and sharing time and laughter with her daughters, their families and grandson Bobby. Her enduring spirit taught us the true meaning of love, resilience, and selflessness.

She is deeply missed by her children Corrinne Garrett, Amber Skea, and her grandson Bobby, along with their extended families, friends, and all who were fortunate to know her.  She will also be missed by those who were fortunate to work with her for years at Surrey Memorial and her nieces, nephews, sister and brother in laws, brother Neil Firby and her first cousins and their families.  Though she is no longer physically with us, her love and legacy live on in the stories we share, the lessons she taught, and the love she so generously gave.

A celebration of life will be held on March 30, 2025, 11:30  am  - 1:30 pm at Glass House Estate Winery - 23449 0 Avenue, Langley. 

Rest peacefully, dear Mom. Your love remains our guiding light.
