Lynn Louise (Hollstrom) Schuur was born July 7, 1947 in Tacoma, WA to Gunnard and Margaret Hollstrom. She passed away in her sleep on July 27, 2023, at age 76 at the Silver Creek Family Home in Puyallup, WA. after battling FTD dementia. Lynn’s love for people and animals began at a very young age as she had a knack for making everyone she met feel special. Lynn graduated from Lincoln High School in 1965 and went to work in the loan department at Pierce County Federal Savings & Loan. There, she was introduced to Phillip Schuur (Steve) and the couple tied the knot on July 15th, 1966 and moved to Seattle to start their lives together. In 1969, while residing in Renton, they welcomed into their lives their son, Anthony Phillip (Tony). Lynn loved raising her son and had a passion and talent for gardening, cooking and wine, meeting new people and a zest for life in general. Her love and kindness spread to not only close family and life-long friends but to random strangers she’d meet at the store and out and about. She just loved people, and people loved her. She is survived by her husband Steve, son Tony (Josette), sister Mary Campbell (Jim), several cousins, and close friends everywhere.
