It’s hard to believe it- Tomorrow marks a year since moms memorial. It’s been very difficult without having her in our lives. I miss her so much, there is an immense void without her here.
I have found comfort with traveling to see friends and family, working on her memorial garden in my yard, and spending all possible free time volunteering at mom and dads favorite place, Great Captain Island.
I was sent a miracle a day after my 50th- moms painting has been out of print for decades. The only one we have is a poster framed with mold and water damage, we were crushed to see it was damaged and planned on having it repaired.
A dear friend found an actual painting of La Mantila in a thrift store in Waterbury, CT and was kind enough to buy it and deliver to my home. It was the best birthday gift ever , a true sign sent from Heaven .
I still laugh whenever I feed the blue jays- I told mom while she was alive that she will come back as a blue jay as her scream for “Randy” was quite loud and abrasive, just like the blue jays.
Today I made it to the Stained glass apple with some items mom made that were damaged- to finally get repaired. my fairy and her 3D duck. I am excited to get them back so I can hang them up in my home.
Keep sending me signs, mamma Lynn. I am doing my best to carry on but it’s the hardest thing not having you here with us 💔
I will love you forever and ever, Lisa xoxo

Lynn’s beauty was so intense that she caught the eye of Rico Tomaso. He was a famous illustrator. Among his many works He painted an entire series of beautiful woman. Lynn was the subject for this one piece called LaMantilla. Other notable works were “The Lady of Seville” The Spanish Dancer and many others. The History begins at the Donald Art Company in Port Chester. Lynn’s Portrait went global. I remember shopping with my mother mom as a young girl and seeing Lynn’s painting in stores and galleries. My mom was always proud and told the store owners who the beautiful person was in the picture. It was fun. Lynn and I bumped into different places where the picture was displayed several times, but she would pull me out of the store before I embarrassed her by all the attention she would receive from strangers. I’ve always been Lynn’s biggest cheerleader. That won’t stop. 😉🙏🧜♀️
