Lynn's obituary
Lynn Marie Bernash entered into God’s Kingdom on November 25, 2025, after a long battle with cancer. She was 71 years old. Lynn was the youngest of eight children born to Jenny [Corliss] McGinnis and Clarence “Bud” McGinnis on October 29, 1954, in Hillsboro, Oregon. Lynn grew up in Banks, Oregon, and attended Banks High School, where she met her first husband, Rocky Long. Rocky and Lynn married in 1972 and had three children together, Josh, Jenny, and Jake before divorcing in 1999. In 2000, Lynn met Ron Bernash at a line dancing event. The two fell in love and were happily married for over 25 years until her death. Lynn was a loyal servant to God, first and foremost. She was steadfast in her faith and loved sharing the love and warmth of our savior, Jesus Christ, with as many people as possible. She was a proud member of Grace and Truth Bible Church for over 15 years. Along with her relationship with God, Lynn's passions included her relationships and time with her children and grandchildren, as well as shopping. Lynn always put others before herself, especially when it came to her three children, six grandchildren, and great-grandson. Lynn joins her parents, Jenny and Bud McGinnis, her brother, Billy McGinnis, and her sisters, Nancy Noble and Barbara Graham, in Heaven. Lynn is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Ron Bernash, and her three children and their spouses: Josh and Stacy Long of Gaston, Jenny and David Brandon of Clatskanie, and Jacob and Amanda Long of Elgin. Lynn's legacy also continues through her six grandchildren and great-grandson: Austin Shivvers, Abigail Sather, Emma Sadtler, Stein Long, Tearin Long, and Sophia Brandon. Lynn was overjoyed with her infant great-grandson, Emmett Sather. Lynn is also survived by her siblings, Patti Richardson of Bethany, Bonnie White of Banks, Sharon Lorton of Estacada, and Joanne Davidson of Banks.
Lynn will always be remembered for her fierce love and dedication to the lord and her family. Lynn bravely battled cancer for over 15 years, contributing all her strength to the lord. She was an inspiration to all those around her and will be incredibly missed. In memory of Lynn, please share your favorite bible verses and photos you may have.
