Lynette “Jeannie”'s obituary

Lynnette Stockman , known to most as “Lynnie” or “Jeannie,” passed unexpectedly from this earth on Sunday August 29th, 2021 in her home. Jeannie was a loving wife and mother, dedicated grandmother, and friend to many. She was born in Jefferson, Maryland, the youngest of seven children, on November 11th, 1943 and spent most of her life living in Frederick and Carroll counties. A skilled homemaker and mother throughout her life, She loved to spend her time in her garden, traveling with her closest friends, spending most summers at the ocean with her grandkids, and especially loved crafting and her late husband Richard Stockman.

Surviving her is her son, David, three young grandchildren, two sisters Patricia Young and Judith Davis, and many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins with whom she kept in close touch throughout her life. She was preceded in death by her husband and by five siblings. She will be greatly missed by all who crossed her path, especially her raucous laughter and sense of adventure.

Due to COVID-19 the family will not be holding public services. To honor her wishes, a small, private gathering will be held September 2, 2021 to celebrate her life. Burial services will be held privately for immediate family at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Frederick, MD.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to The Humane Society of Carroll County at https://hscarroll.org.
