My sincerest condolences and prayers for the Stripling family.  DR Stripling was a wonderful dentist.  He will be deeply missed.
I’m so sorry to hear of Dr. Stripling’s passing. He’s the nicest guy, and I’ve been going to Lake Highlands since I was just a kid. I always loved looking at his photos as I walked back to get my teeth cleaned. He will be missed. Praying for his family, friends, and work family through this difficult time.
Wow!  I am in disbelief.  I saw an email from Lake Highland dental and thought it was just another reminder for my follow up.  I never expected to hear that Dr Stippling passed.  He seemed to be in such great health.  I’ve been a patient of his for over 20 years starting from the Forest lane office. I tried going to another dentist but that did not last a hot minute. Dr Strippling had  such a kind and gentle soul. You will be missed Dr Strippling. My deepest condolences to his family and office staff.

Dr Stripling was our dentist for over 30 years.  My husband, Daughter and son in law were all patients as well.  Dr Stripling and my husband shared hunting stories for many years. I am shocked and saddened by his loss. He will be dearly missed.

My biggest fear in life has always been going to the dentist until I met Dr. Strippling. He had the most calming mannerisms, and explained everything to me so I would feel at ease. My husband and family have been patients of his for over 25 years. I will miss him greatly.  My sincere condolences to his family and friends.

Rest in Pease Dr. Strippling.

I am so very sorry to hear this news. I thought he was on the mend, and had many years of retirement to look forward to.  I was a patient for over 20 yrs and always looked forward to hearing the latest about Durango.  Prayers for the family.
I knew I was in perfect hands the first time I met Dr Stripling.  I'd gone through a very traumatic ordeal loosing my front teeth.  Having months of dental work done that wasn't right,  a friend recommended I see Dr Stripling.  From the moment I sat down in his chair I felt relief.  He assured me he could rebuild and set my crowns and no one would ever know they weren't my own teeth.  He was a master in his profession and had a wonderful bed side manner.  Sending prayers to his wife, children, family and friends.  Dr Stripling, you will be greatly missed.
This news shocked me!  I thought he was on a prolonged vacation in Colorado and then Alaska. My sincere condolences go out to his family, friends and colleagues - even his patients!  Most of us had been his patients for years and thereby his friends. We will truly miss you and your kindness.

My condolences to Dr. Stripling’s family, friends and co-workers. As a patient of his I want to say you will be missed dearly. Thank you so much I will never forget the day I was able to smile again after going to so many places for diagnoses you where able to help me. I was able to smile again because of you. Thank you Dr. Stripling you will be missed.
I recall a time we visited the Striplings, my dad's sister's family, in New Boston.  Lyndel was probably about 8 or 10, and I don't recall who issued the challenge, probably Lyndel, as he was as big a cutup as my dad.  I just remember hearing Daddy say, "you don't think I can catch you?", and the race began around the house.  I don't recall who won, but there was a lot of laughter and fun.

For as long as I can remember, I’ve introduced (or described) Lyndel to my friends as a “renaissance man” because of his ability to do so many things so well. Dennis was the surgeon; I was the educator; and Lyndel was the “renaissance man.”

In analyzing that moniker, I’ve realized it was based on Lyndel’s broad-based artistry. First, in his dentistry that was as cosmetic as practical—but also in his award-winning photography, acclaimed sculpturing, multiple-genre singing, consummate archery, and captivating story telling. I was mesmerized every time I heard the stories of the squirrel running up his leg while he was turkey hunting or the bear grabbing the scotch as it attacked his and Don’s camp site. And, let’s not forget the mathematical artistry he often applied to card and domino games. Players aware of his prowess would often ask, “What would Uncle Lyndel do?” when perplexed with a “42” hand.

Above all, I’ll remember Lyndel for his generosity—generosity of both his financial and time resources. For years he provided full-service dental work to many family members without accepting a penny, even for lab work. On several occasions, my husband or I would receive a Christmas gift that one of us would have admired while traveling with him earlier that year. . . Lyndel was never too busy to volunteer his time to help Randy with a project or to promote a passion such as the Texas Bighorn Sheep Society “Guzzler Project” in West Texas on which he worked weekends for multiple years. . . Most importantly, Lyndel’s generosity was unconditional. . . I always felt that if I ever needed someone to rescue me, I could call Lyndel, and the only thing he would ask is, “Where are you, Sis?”

Lyndel was a special and amazing man !

My business partner , but most of all , a great friend. Lyndel had that uncanny ability to make those around him feel special. He was kind ,considerate ,caring and he brought out the best in all that knew him.

He will be missed immensely by those that were touched by his life!

Over the last few days I have thought about the many things Lyndel meant to me!

His amazing lust for life, his joy in creating beautiful things, his compassion and unwavering commitment to all he knew , and oh yes , his storytelling, which mesmerized all who were listening- He made things come to life with a vivid and extraordinary ability and feeling.

Lyndel Stripling was indeed an amazing man! I count it a blessing to have known him . I know we all grieve in his passing from this life, but he will endure in my heart as he will in yours !

My sincere condolences to Kathy , his brother, sister,

children and grandchildren. Thank you for sharing Lyndel with all of us .

May God wrap his comforting arms around each of you as you live life without his earthly presence . But know that he made an enduring impact on all of us, that we will one day follow him into the joy of eternal life, in the presence of God our father and Jesus our Savior and redeemer!

I am so sorry to hear of Dr. Stripling's passing.  He took such great care of us at his practice for many many years.

With love,

Cat and Jon Angeles
