Lynda's obituary

Our beloved Wife, Mother and Grandmother Lynda Dian Hense warmly entered into God’s Kingdom on September 30, 2024 after a long & valiant battle with cancer.

Lynda was born to Leslie & Pasquale Fiordelise on December 15, 1941 in Washington, DC. When Lynda was younger, her favorite activities were art and reading. After graduating, she pursued a 20+ year career with Bell South Telephone Company as a switchboard operator, and retired from there shortly after Verizon took over. Lynda married Henry Hense, a match truly made in heaven. Lynda always looked forward to spending time with her family on Lake Anna swimming, tubing, and fishing. Lynda & Henry share 5 children between them, Barbara (Gregory), James (Jennifer), Cher (Marc), Christopher, and Angela. Lynda was a loyal servant to God, first and foremost. She loved sharing the love and warmth of our savior, Jesus Christ. Lynda joins her parents, sisters Peggy and Delores, brother Tommy, & best friend & cousin Faye in Heaven. She is survived by many loving family members, including grandchildren Gregory Bailey (Jessica), Kristopher Effler (Amy), Stephen Bailey, Samantha Christie (Ray), Maddison Kelly, Kayla Walzak, Aiden Hense, Bridgett Mullarkey, Jade Effler, & Edwin Satisky. Lynda and Henry feel especially lucky to enjoy 5 great grandchildren, Harper (Samantha), Annabel (Gregory), Jackson, Mason, and Zoey (Samantha). Her love for them was beyond measure.
