I have fond memories of Mrs. Hagen in the 80s. I looked up to Lynda and thought she was the coolest! I remember making a money cake for someone's birthday with Lynda. Money? In cake?? Every bite I was hoping to bite into a quarter. Haha.
In Grade 1 I went home for lunch, only to be worried when my mom wasn't home. I panicked and instead of walking back to the school, the first person I thought of was Mrs. Hagen. I walked right past the school and around the block to the Hagens. Mrs. Hagen made me lunch while we tried to problem solve where my mom could be. She reassured me and comforted me. When I went back to school, I saw my full lunch box and remembered my mom had an appointment that day, and I was supposed to have lunch at school that day. I always went home for lunch so I forgot! From panic, to relief, to embarrassment. It was a memorable day for me because of the emotional roller-coaster. I knew Mrs. Hagen would help me, reassure me, and make me feel safe. I remember it like yesterday.
I also remember summer fun filled with laughter in their pool or ours.
My condolences to the Hagen family from the Burnes'.
A wonderful friend always missed

Speaking of Royal weddings...…
Speaking of Royal weddings..... 52 Years ago I met the love of my life. Here’s our wedding photo with her sister Carere and Lynda’s mom Dorothy. XOXO
Although I met Grandma Linda later in life , she always struck me as someone so full of energy and happiness, craziness and truthfulness. She always said what she meant , and always spoke bluntly . I remember when I was complaining that I couldn’t walk home from high school because it rained sometimes (having just started grade 9) she said “you’re not sugar you won’t melt !” Obviously she was right . Some of my best memories of her are at Adams house during holidays , out on the back deck , out in the front driveway or in the garage when we just moved into the house . She had so much joy and life in her , she was loud , and in charge and someone who inspired those around her to just be who you are and enjoy. Talking about willie Nelson , playing with mollie and Mattie , talking about her trips down south , laughing and chatting and drinking in the sun . I’m so glad to have known her , so glad she always treated me like a grandson, and so happy to say she was my grandma . Love you

My dear friend will be sadly missed. What I will always cherish about her is her compassion for others. She was an amazing women.I remember when she was at work she was taking a elderly man to the floor prior to leaving the room with the pt she would do a sweep of the room with her eyes glasses low on nose😃,she saw pt’s dentures on bedside table,Lynda didn’T have denture cup so she told the pt she wrapped them in tissue and put them in she suit jacket.Off to the floor they went Lynda passed on the info to receiving nurse and also to the pt.The next day on shift the family came to er telling us we lost the teeth of their father Lynd only in Lynda’s way stepped forward and said No No Dear they are in
His jacket and promptly went to the floor with family and problem solved😍.
This one story tells us Lynda was a compassionate person always going above and beyond ,hard working and always bring laughter into my world.
TIL we meet again my friend💔💖💖💖

I first met Lynda when I was hosting a bridal luncheon for June Lais (Hagen). We instantly clicked and had an absolute hoot together (and a few smoke breaks)! I have not met such an outgoing, fun loving person in a long time! About a year later I was in the dollar store and this woman kept looking at me and I was thinking "why is she staring at me and what is her problem?" She came up to me and said "you're probably wondering why I am staring at you, but don't I know you?" and from there we figured out where we met and had a good laugh. (I was impressed that she remembered!). Lynda would often pick up her Mom at the Avalon and bring her into the store where I worked and always made a point of looking for me. We would have a nice visit and of course some good laughs together. I missed her when she wasn't able to come anymore but was able to keep in touch through Dorothy. I may not have known Lynda for a long time but I enjoyed every minute of my time with her. My heartfelt sympathy for the entire family. The fond memories you all have will help you through the tough times ahead, love Ingrid
We have known Lynda for more than 25 years. She was always so thoughtful and positive. She will be missed but will share her joy with others in her next life. Sending condolences to Paula, Gord and all her loved ones. From all of us at Lovely Nails.
