Lynda's obituary

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Lynda Dianne "Nannie" Conley. She was born on June 23, 1946, and departed from this earthly life on May 14, 2025. Lynda was preceded in death by her husband, Gary N. Conley, and her parents, Holmes Bostick and Edra Faye "Rosie" Thompson Bostick.

Lynda's personality was nothing short of extraordinary; she was caring, loving, giving, kind, affectionate, fun, sweet, thoughtful, and a bit stubborn at times. These endearing qualities will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know her.

A devoted mother, doting grandmother, and a compassionate friend, Lynda passed on important life lessons to her loved ones. She emphasized the importance of family and adorably maintained that she will always 'Love You More.' She also was renowned for her skill in the kitchen, passing down family recipes that will continue to bring comfort and connection to her family.

A host of significant accomplishments grace Lynda's life. Alongside raising her children and spoiling her grandchildren well into their adulthood, she also nurtured many beloved pets. Her lasting marriage of 61 years stands as a testament to her commitment and love. She made friends everywhere she went, with many of them becoming lifetime friendships.

Moreover, Lynda will be remembered for her legacy of love towards her family and friends. She was an avid collector of owls which were displayed proudly throughout every room in her home, many of which were gifts from friends and family. Her thoughtful giving heart earned her the endearing title of "The Card Lady". At Christmastime, she transformed into "The Holly Lady", further testament to her beloved generous nature.

Lynda is survived by her brother, Robert Charles Bostick of Saginaw, TX, her beloved children, Gary Lynn Conley (Leyna) The Bronx, NY, Tina Hudson of Bowie, TX, Amy Hiley (Todd) of Denton, TX; her beloved grandchildren, Kaedance Fuller of Denton, TX, Colten Hiley of Denton, TX, Wyatt Hudson of Frisco, TX, and Garrett Hudson of Denton, TX, and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

In honor of her memory, a memorial service will be held on August 8, 2025, at 9:15 AM at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Dallas, TX with a Celebration of Life immediately following at the Lake Worth Boating & Ski Club located at 4001 Marina Dr, Fort Worth, TX . In the face of this great loss, we find comfort in remembering Lynda’s unwavering love and generosity. She will be dearly missed, yet her spirit will live on in the many lives she touched.
