Lynda's obituary

Lynda Dianne "Nannie" Conley earned her angel wings, passing peacefully on May 14, 2025 in Flower Mound, TX to join many others awaiting her arrival in Heaven. Lynda was born on June 23, 1946 in Stephenville, TX to Holmes and Edra "Rosie" Bostick. On December 22, 1962 in Fort Worth, TX, she married the love of her life, Gary N. Conley, who passed just a few months shy of their 62nd Anniversary.  Lynda leaves behind a legacy of love, warmth, and strength. She is survived by her brother Robert Charles Bostick, son Gary Lynn Conley (Leyna) of The Bronx, NY, daughters Tina Hudson of Bowie, TX and Amy Hiley (Todd) of Denton, TX, granddaughter Kaedance Fuller and grandsons Colten Hiley, Wyatt Hudson, and Garrett Hudson, as well as numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

Lynda was a profoundly caring, loving, giving, kind, affectionate, fun, sweet, stubborn, and thoughtful woman. She was a loving and devoted mother and wife, sharing life lessons with those close to her that included the importance of family, a sweet reminder that she would always "love you more", and finally, how to perfect family recipes that would be passed down through the generations.

With a lifetime of various jobs, she gain many valuable skills from co-managing a Dairy Queen with her husband, Gary, to factory work at Josten's and Mostek, and a variety of office administration roles, filled with great accomplishments, Lynda had a particularly special place in her heart for her family. Raising her children, spoiling her grandchildren well into adulthood, and caring for numerous beloved pets were among her most cherished accomplishments. She was also blessed to celebrate 61 years of marriage.

Lynda will be remembered for her legacy of love for family and friends. She was ever the giver as "The Card Lady", and during Christmas, she transformed into "The Holly Lady", spreading joy wherever she went. Beyond her role in the family, Lynda had personal passions as well. She held a special love for her vast collection of owls, was an ardent NASCAR fan, and a dedicated supporter of the Dallas Cowboys and Texas Rangers. She found immense joy in watching her birds, squirrels, and the numerous litters of feral kittens playing in her backyard.

A memorial service for Lynda will be held on August 8, 2025, promptly at 9:15 AM at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, immediately followed by a Celebration of Life at the Lake Worth Boat Club, 4001 Marina Dr, Fort Worth, TX. As we mourn her passing, we also celebrate her life filled with love, kindness, and a spirit that will continue to inspire us.
