Background
To us, he was Dad. To the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department, he was Sergeant Borth. But to everyone, he was ‘Butch’. He loved police work, serving for 43 years. He never wanted to retire, and we can’t think of a better way to honor his wish to remain on the force than to sponsor a K9 police dog. “K9 Butch” will continue Dad’s legacy of service with Jefferson County, and, with any luck, will begin duty within the year alongside some of the same officers Dad worked with.
We have loved hearing everyone's happy memories of Butch. He truly made a difference in so many lives. Thank you for your generous donation to the K9 Butch police dog fund in his memory. Contribute
