Lizeth, I give you my condolences with a very heavy, heavy heart.   Your mom was one of my  intern teachers when I worked with the ATCP program with PISD.   She was one of the nicest, sweetest individuals  I have ever met.  You were very small when she started with the program and we shared many stories and she would always light up when she spoke of you.  You were her pride and joy.  Any time I visited her campus during and after she became a teacher, we would talk about our one child we each had, her Lizeth and my David.

We have lost a light that devoted her life to GOD and people.  She was so good with her students.  They loved her too as she loved them and she was a light that guided many.   I retired a year before she did but I always thought of her and how she (and you) were doing.    We drifted but I thought of her often.  Here we are in March and I just found out of her passing today from another teacher from Jessup.  My tears were instant of sadness at that moment but then I realized that she is now smiling up in heaven just like she always did here on earth and sharing her radiance, smiles and kindness up in heaven too.   I  believe the Lord gave her time to see you grow up, go to college, get married and provide her with a part of you to love as much as she did you.  Her grandchildren  will now shine and smile for her here on earth and she will continue smiling for all of us up in heaven.   Again, I am so sorry to hear she has gone home but I know she is free of pain and sickness now.   The Lord just needed another angel.   I know she watches over you now and is very proud of you and the person that you are in her shadow.   Blessings to you and your family.           SanJuanita Rodriquez

My deepest condolences. Thank you for allowing the Hospice team to minister to your beautiful mom. She was a beautiful person inside and out. It was my pleasure to be able to meet her and minister to her and your precious family. Rev. Dan Diaz de Leon, Chaplain, Essential Hospice.

My deepest condolences to the family. May the good memories bring you peace and comfort.   Luz was a wonderful person, mom, and teacher.

Rest in peace, Luz.  You’ll be in my thoughts and prayers forever.

Love always,

Ms. Mari Carmen Delgado

Luz and I worked together as teachers in 3rd grade. When I first met Luz, I was very impressed with how respectful and kind she was towards others.  I really got to know Luz on a personal level when we both retired and worked as substitutes. A memorable time that stood out to me was when we went shopping together.  She told me she wanted to look for books for her granddaughter. We went to the book section and spent most of our time flipping through several books.  Watching her face light up when she spoke of her family spoke volumes.  My deepest condolences for such a wonderful person. She will truly be missed.
