In 2019, my family brought Luna home at eight weeks old. She looked just like a fuzzy teddy bear. Tiny button nose and grinch- like paws she hadn't grown into yet. The first night we had her home, she definitely showed us her dramatic personality. My Dad laid on the floor with her until she fell fast asleep. Every single day of puppyhood was pure entertainment and pleasant chaos. Long walks with Dad in the neighborhood, chasing backyard critters, barking at shadows, chewing on Dad's firewood, sleeping in bed with Zoe every night, barking at Mom when it was time for her to go to work, playing hockey with Nolan, always getting lots of love from Nanny and Poppy. Luna was my loyal companion, she was the light of my life. She greeted me at the door every time I got home with a big hug and slobbery kisses. When Luna was hungry, she knew to bring her bowl to someone in the house. She was incredibly special. Luna had troubles with her pancreas since she was young. She was constantly on and off different medications, vitamins, and injections. Her pancreas was not able to effectively digest nutrients which resulted in her to feel sick alot of the time. Every single day spent with her was a happy moment. Luna helped me realize what it felt like to be unconditionally loved. In 2023, she peacefully passed away while sleeping during the night. She was surrounded by the people she loved. Luna had a huge impact on our family. We will always remember her. Forever in our hearts.
