I always remember his smile and happy outlook, brightening the room any time he entered.  I remember our kids playing on the swingset at church, seeing who could jump off the furthest.  I think of him every single day!

I remember we were doing a skit for Easter at church. We each got an egg that represented something from Easter. Lucas got the thorn bush. While rehearsing it Lucas mentioned how  it was sharp with all the thorns  and he put it on his face and said “ah my eye!” As a joke. It made the mood comfortable for preforming this in front of the church and represents how he lightened the mood with his humor and fun outlook.

2023, On a phone call with Grandpa Lubs.
Said Luke a couple of weeks following the amputation of his left lower leg, "Hey Grandpa, did you hear, I quit my job at the pool. I'm getting a new job at IHOP!" That was Lukas!!!!!
I will always remember Lukas’s brightsmile, his mischievous sense of humor,  and his playful nature. He was a full-of-life, light-up-the-room kind of kid. He will be forever missed. ❤️
