Luis's obituary

Luis “Angel” Hernandez – Beloved husband, father, son, and true friend to many – passed away on August 19th, 2023, at the age of 33, in the arms of his wife, in his hometown of Chicago. His battle with kidney showed his courage in facing life’s challenges with a smile. A truly fitting name for such a graceful, angelic soul. Despite the pain, Angel dedicated his life to his family - a true hero and inspiration to us all.

Angel grew up surrounded by friends and family. So close that the love of his life, Julie, grew up right next door. At the young age of just 10 years old, they were inseparable. It was love at first sight. They were married in May 2015, and together had their only child, Jayden. Angel dedicated his life to being a devout father and best friend to his son, Jayden. Their bond will be everlasting. He loved his mother dearly and had her support until the end.

Angel had an amazing sense of humor and a laugh that was contagious. He was a lover of animals and cars as a child, which turned into a passion for exotic fish. He took much pride in his aquarium and loved his pit bulls dearly. Angel was a big sports fan of Soccer, football and basketball, he mostly loved Wrestling Angel and his wife Julie attended to most of the home games and never missed Monday Night Raw along with his son Jayden.

Angel’s legacy of resilience and perseverance will forever remain etched in our hearts. As we reflect on his journey, let us remember the warmth of his smile, the strength of his spirit and the love that defined his life.

Angel survived by his wife Julie Almanza Hernandez, his son Jayden Armani Hernandez, his mother and father Juana Lidia Tellez, Jose Luis Hernandez, his brothers Isidro & Paulo Martinez and nieces and nephews.
