Luis's obituary

*****

Luis peacefully passed away in the early hours of December 29, 2020, at age 65, surrounded by his family and the sounds of his favorite songs.

He was born in Medellin, Colombia and moved with his wife and sons to the United States in the 1990s. Since then, he resided in Lincoln, Rhode Island, though he often spent time in Colombia and frequently traveled anywhere that his family and work's adventures took him.

He enjoyed listening to music and dancing, having drinks, telling jokes, eating ice cream, cycling through pictures and videos, working, watching futbol, and staying in touch with his friends.  However, his life's main love, passion and purpose was his family.  He is survived by his wife, Marta Velasquez; his sons Esteban, and Santiago and his wife, Emily; and his two granddaughters, Marcela and Isabel.  He's also survived by his brother, Jorge, and a very large group of loving family and friends.

He will be remembered by his generosity, empathy, honesty, ambition, toughness, loyalty, perseverance and unconditional love.

His family is thankful for all the support, messages, calls, good wishes, positive thoughts and prayers that they have received, particularly during these last few months.
