Luella's obituary
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Luella Dominique on February 15, 2023. Luella was born on September 1952, and brought light, love, and kindness into the lives of those who knew her. She was a woman of great strength and character, whose legacy of generosity and warmth will be fondly remembered by all.
Luella is survived by her loving family, which includes her daughter, Karrie Dominique; granddaughter, Kayleigh Nachreiner; grandson, Evan Nachreiner; son-in-law, John Wickett; brother, Richard (Pat) Lewis; brother, Neal (Anne) Lewis; and sister, Shirley Lewis. She was predeceased by her husband, Real Dominique, with whom she shared a beautiful life.
A Celebration of Life for Luella will be held on June 25, 2023, at 1:00 PM at her home, where friends and family can gather together to honor her memory. Luella had a passion for life and enjoyed various recreational activities such as hiking, attending festivals, flea markets and weekly lunches with her dear friends, David and Jane; reading, and spending time with her loved ones. She loved walking for exercise and embraced the beauty of nature that surrounded her.
Throughout her life, Luella enjoyed the simple pleasures of trying new restaurants (but always ordering the same thing), sipping on Riesling, gardening, and reading any book she could get her hands on. Her love for Classic Rock music provided the soundtrack to her life, bringing joy and comfort during both trials and triumphs. Green, the color of life and renewal, was her favorite color, reflecting her appreciation for the natural world.
Luella's personality was the epitome of kindness and friendliness. She loved to smile and greet others, always offering a helping hand when needed. Luella's life lessons included the simple but powerful message of always smiling and saying hello to others, leaving a lasting impact on those she encountered.
As Luella walked around Clyde, waving and smiling, she touched the lives of many, leaving a lasting legacy of kindness and generosity. She will be greatly missed, but her spirit will live on through the memories and love shared by those who were fortunate enough to know her.
