Lucy Ann Saucedo (Chavez), beloved mother, Grandma “Abuela,” great-grandmother “Mogo”, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 10, 2025, in Beech Island, South Carolina. She was 101 years old.
Lucy was born on January 7, 1924, in Calexico, California, to Felicitas Cortez Chavez and Ysmael Chavez. She was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings—Frank Chavez, Marcelina Chavez Cordero, Dolores C. Garcia, James “Diego” Chavez, Pedro Chavez, and Maria Chavez—as well as her first …
