Lucy's obituary

Lucianna Marina Williams, 27, was born on the 7th of July 1994 in Newburgh, New York, to parents Rich and Cindy Mckelly. Lucy, known to her friends and family as "Marina", was one of the most outgoing people you would ever meet. She could talk to anyone she came across, make friends wherever she went, and had endless love to give. She was the best storyteller and had an impeccable memory. Her sense of humor was one of her best attributes - she could make you laugh until your stomach hurt! Anyone who knew her, knew her love for animals, especially her Yorkies, Luna and Penelope. As her name predicted, she took to the outdoors avidly from an early age equally at home on the water with fishing pole in hand, learning the tricks of trapping  with her dad, or hunting with her younger brothers Hunter and Joseph. There was no limit to her love of nature. She camped, climbed, kayaked, hiked, and biked whenever she could seize the chance. She was an expert camper and s’mores maker! Marina was passionate in being with family, building memories and taking photos. She persisted in making the seconds of each day count for something and cherished every moment as if it was her last. It was her huge heart and passion for helping others that charted the course of her personal and professional life to becoming a nurse. She was accepted into the Connell School of Nursing at Boston College in Massachusetts where she earned a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing. It was through her love for nursing and determination to make a difference in the lives of others that she crossed paths with the love of her life, Josiah Williams. In just four short months they were married and a yea later had their beautiful son, Colton. Although she was taken too soon in this life, in the time she did have, she created a beautiful family, lit up any room she entered, and impacted the lives of many. Those who were blessed to know Lucy over the past 27 years now see that light more dimly, as she was taken from this life, Wednesday, March 16th, 2022. She will be sorely missed but loved even more.
