Violet Lucille Pickel (née Gucofski), 95, departed this life to join her Savior on August 19, 2024, in Cape Coral, Florida. A native of Baxer, Texas, where she first saw the light of day on September 30, 1928, Violet lived a life marked by faithfulness, love, and a gentle spirit that endeared her to all.

As a dedicated parishioner of Sanibel Community Church, Violet was a shining example of Christian living. Her devotion to God's word was evident in her commitment to the church's ministries and her unwavering support of those in need.

Violet's life was a graceful journey that she navigated with poise and dignity. Her passion for life was evident in her love for music and dance, and above all, in the joy she took in being with her family and friends. Whether in moments of quiet reflection or times of spirited celebration, Violet's presence was a blessing to those around her.

She leaves behind a legacy rich in love and cherished memories: her dear husband Chuck Pickel, daughter Sandy, her granddaughter Denise Wells, her great-grandchildren Kenneth French, Matthew French (and his wife Courtney), Ryan Hall, and Tiffany Hall. Violet's great-great-grandchildren Addison, Benson, and Liam French will also hold dear their memories of her. Violet was preceded in rest by her beloved first husband Kenneth Gucofski, her son Stephen Gucofski, and her daughter Cynthia Boulter.

Violet's life was a testament to her loving heart and her unwavering faith. Her memory will be honored and preserved in the hearts of her loved ones and all who knew her as a woman of grace, charity, and joy. Her family gives thanks for the many blessings she brought into their lives and celebrates the peace she now finds in the arms of her Lord and Savior.
