Lovly's obituary
Lovly Yang, age 25, of New Richmond, Wisconsin, passed away on March 12, 2026.
Lovly was born on January 18, 2001, in Saint Paul, Minnesota, to Kao Kia Her and Doua Yang. Though her life was far too short, the love she gave, the joy she carried, and the light she brought into this world will live on forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
Lovly had a beautiful way of making life feel lighter. She brought laughter into every room she entered and had a gift for making anyone laugh, even on the hardest days. Her joy was contagious, her smile unforgettable, and her presence was a comfort so many will deeply miss. She showed her love in the little things that now mean everything—sending memes and reels just to make someone smile, remembering every birthday, giving Christmas gifts with thought and care, and finding simple, everyday ways to remind people they were loved. She also loved BTS, and that love was part of the joy and personality she carried so openly. That was who she was—someone who loved deeply, expressed herself fully, and made life brighter for the people around her.
She was loving, caring, and deeply selfless—the kind of person who thought of others before herself, who gave without being asked, and who made people feel seen, remembered, and cherished. Lovly had a gentle spirit, but within her was also a beautiful sense of purpose. She dreamed of becoming an English teacher abroad, hoping to help others, inspire them, and make a difference in lives beyond her own. She believed in kindness, in connection, and in leaving the world better than she found it.
Lovly’s passing leaves a sorrow too deep for words. There is an emptiness where her laughter used to be, a silence where her messages, her jokes, and her love once lived so freely. She was not just loved—she was treasured. She was the kind of soul people thought they would have more time with, more birthdays to celebrate, more holidays to share, more memories still waiting to be made. That is what makes this loss so heartbreaking.
And yet, even in grief, Lovly’s life remains a gift. She will be remembered for her tender heart, her generosity, her thoughtfulness, her laughter, and the way she made ordinary days feel brighter simply by being in them. Though she is gone too soon, the love she poured into others will continue to ripple through every life she touched.
Lovly is survived by her sisters, Precious Yang, Sunny Yang, and Blossom Yang; her brothers, Timmy Yang, Jimmy Yang, Tommy Yang, and Heaven Yang; her aunts, Mai Her, Mor Her, Maudie Her, Ka Her, Der Her, and Wang Her; her uncles, Keng Her, Mong Her, and Moon Her; and her beloved fur baby, Fufu Yang, who was a special part of her heart and her home.
A funeral service will be held at Saint Paul Funeral Home LLC on Sunday, May 10, 2026.
