Louis's obituary
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Louis Diamond Field, a remarkable man and an extraordinary talent, who left us on April 4, 2025. Born on May 15, 1941 in Nashville, Tennessee, Louis attended Peabody Demonstration School excelling as a basketball star, and student leader. Louis obtained his Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Emory University.
Louis was a successful entrepreneur, business owner, and investor. From a young age, Louis had a passion for horses and rose to fame winning more horse shows than we can count, including a National Championship. His competitive spirit and entrepreneurial mindset were the hallmarks of his success. The legacy Louis leaves behind is far more significant than the tangible accomplishments he amassed throughout his life. The kindness and generosity he embodied have touched countless lives.
As a devoted father to Lisa and Jason, and a loyal friend to many, Louis will always be remembered for his witty sense of humor, his compelling ability to lighten even the heaviest of hearts. His generosity knew no bounds, always ready to extend a helping hand to those in need. He was an oracle of wisdom, a mentor to many, guiding through grace and impartiality.
Louis Field was a beacon of light in our lives, and his memory will forever be engraved in our hearts. While we mourn his loss, we also celebrate a life well lived, a man well loved, and a legacy that will continue to inspire us for years to come. The family kindly requests donations to the Alice Lloyd College and Cal Farley’s Boys Ranch to continue his legacy of supporting education, youth and families.
