Louis's obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Louis Cuellar on March 25, 2026. Born on May 12, 2003, Louis lived a life defined by intelligence, kindness, humor, and a sharp wit. He was a devoted son, grandchild, and nephew who deeply touched the lives of those around him. We will forever remember Louis for his infectious laughter, his love of life, and his perseverance.
Louis is survived by his beloved father, Eric Cuellar, and his caring mother, Erika Cuellar. His enduring memory will also be celebrated by his grandmothers, Frances Cuellar and Barbara Grunde, and his grandfather, Paul Grunde. Louis leaves behind his cherished aunts, Jessica Carmona, Nina Bonifacio, and Becca Cuellar, and his uncles, Matt Cuellar and Mario Carmona. He will be dearly missed by his cousins, Cruz Carmona, Ali Cuellar, Ted Cuellar, and Sam Bonifacio. Louis was predeceased by his grandfather, Ed Cuellar.
Louis found joy in everything from reading his favorite book, Sophie’s World, to watching his favorite shows like Frasier, Veep, Curb your Enthusiasm, Cheers, Mash, and Golden Girls. His laughter was inextinguishable during games of Wordle, Cambio, Monopoly, and especially the card game we always play at Christmas called coo coo. Louis also discovered peace and satisfaction in gardening and cooking, playing with his dog Diana, shopping and visiting with family. He had a deep love for travel and cherished the memories from his trips to Norway.
Louis was someone who believed that everyone should be loved. His life bore witness to this belief in the way he treated everyone around him. Smart, kind, funny, and often sarcastic, Louis left a lasting impression on all who knew him. His life, although far too brief, was marked with kindness and an unwavering love of family.
In the face of this loss, we choose to remember Louis as he was – full of life, love, and laughter. His memory will forever be etched in our hearts and minds. His absence leaves a void that cannot be filled, but his spirit will continue to live on in those who were blessed to know him.
