From Sheran Littlejohn: Tribute To My Aunt/Mother, Affectionately Called “Miss Lottie”.

“I will forever miss her. She will forever be in my heart. Nothing can ever take away a love the heart holds dear. She touched my life as an aunt and mother and that experience will touch my heart forever.  She was a proud and stubborn woman. She may need help with something she was doing but if you looked like you did not want to help, that would do it, she would not ask again. You could forget it! She was a proud woman.

Some people were not aware that she was hearing impaired. She went to church every Sunday that she could, regardless of whether or not she knew what the sermon was about.

Sometimes, when I was preparing to go back home I would slip her some money and her famous remark was “Aww you didn't have to do that”. I know many people have heard that from her.

People would see her riding her lawnmower cutting grass in her 90's.  They were amazed that she had the strength to do that.  But it is all about God.

Don't let me talk about her famous "cakes" and any other food she would cook. I would bring her cakes back home with me and my friends would take a slice.  They would rave over those cakes.  You know she was the first one of her sisters to live in Washington, D.C. I told her she should have stayed in D.C because she could have been a millionaire chef!

God bless you. I hope we will see each other, in our heavenly home, where “We Can Walk Around Heaven All Day.” - Sheran A. Littlejohn
