Per Cheryl Nelson - For nearly four decades, Lori and I were friends and colleagues.  We were fortunate that our careers allowed us to have frequent conversations about life and teaching.  Lori had admirable energy and an ability to bring out the3 best in her students.  She was a deeply devoted friend.  I will miss our days together, lunches after retirement, shopping trips, knitting sessions, conversations about family, chats about books, and check-up phone calls and texts.  Lori was extraordinary on so many levels. Her friendship was truly a blessing.

My heart is so very sad at the loss of my forever friend, adopted sister, and cherished co-worker! My years at Gower working as Lori’s aide, were incredibly happy and rewarding years! She brought love, warmth, caring and an overwhelming amount of knowledge and fun-filled experiences to her many students over the years! She had a generous heart and I have so many wonderful gifts from her in our house to remember her with each day! Our special lunches with Anna hold special memories! We shared our blessings of our great husbands, treasured children, and amazing grandchildren! Leo will always remember taking Lori on a tubing adventure with her granddaughter, Juliana, at the lake!
