Heaven received a truly remarkable lady today. As My mother Lorraine Booth has joined my father today, she passed away peacefully at Rising Oaks this morning, I was with her and as I whispered in her ear “ I love you momma!” And kissed her, and She took her last breath. It has been such an honor and blessing to have had this time the past almost two years spending time with her and caring for her in Florida. All I can say is hold tight to your loved ones, and to honor, as the Lord instructs us in the Bible, our parents to the very end. I love and miss my mama so much, but I know she is with my daddy hugging and kissing him, with no more pain or suffering ....as she is in the best hands now....with Jesus!!
After her passing I had the honor after her bath, and before they took her to put lotion on her, help dress her in a beautiful outfit, do her hair ( one last time ) and put makeup on her. Yesterday the funeral/ crematorium gave my sister and I one last private viewing. And by the way ...I placed a fork in her hand, for as we all should know the best in life is to come for her now.
These were Her wishes, she spoke to us about in detail prior to this day, and this was what she wanted.
Keep the family in your prayers a bit longer please, as I know we will still experience moments in the days ahead.
