Lori Michelle Wangen

December 18, 1970 to November 4, 2022

Our beloved mother, Lori Michelle Wangen sadly and unexpectedly passed away on November 4, 2022 at the age of 51.

Lori was born on December 18, 1970 in Springfield, OR and adopted by her loving parents, Martin and Delores (Pilgard) Wangen.

Lori attended Astoria High School and received her GED. Lori worked for many years as a caregiver and daycare operator and in her final months, as an in home caregiver as she loved helping others.

Lori was a very loving and amazing mom, nana, and friend. She was always there when family needed her. Most of her time was spent with her 4 grandchildren whom she loved and loved her beyond measure.

Lori enjoyed arts and crafts, spending time with her children and grandchildren, baking and cooking, hanging out with friends. She was always playing lottery tickets hoping to win big someday.

Lori is survived by her daughter, Carrie Humphries & husband Seth of Knappa, OR. Her son, Tyler Flavin also of Knappa. Her grandchildren, Baylee Calderon, Parker, Bryson, and Bentley Humphries. Her stepmother, Coral Wangen of Vancouver, WA. Her brother, Michael Wangen. Her longtime best friends and lifelong sisters, Dinah Bastiean and Sheri Wait both of Astoria, OR as well as a large, loving family in Minnesota. Lori is also survived by her longtime partner, Thomas Hamlin.

Lori was preceded in death by both her parents, Martin Wangen in 2016 and Delores (Pilgard) Wangen in 2012.

A celebration of life will be planned for 2023.
