Lori M. Gilbreath, 51, of Winfield, passed away Wednesday morning, March 10, 2021 at South Central Kansas Medical Center.
Born May 22, 1969 in Wichita, she was the daughter of Billie Don and Wanda Lee (Wiley) Kilgore. Lori was raised and received her education in Conway Springs, graduating from Conway Springs High School. After high school, Lori attended flight attendant school in Florida. In addition, she studied at Cowley College on a tennis scholarship.
Lori met her husband, Michael, in 1990 while they were both working at the Winfield State Hospital and Training Center. The couple married on August 17, 1991 at the Winfield First Church of the Nazarene. They made their first home in Winfield before moving to Wichita in 1994 to be closer to family. The couple settled in Winfield in 2010.
Lori enjoyed fishing and camping with Mike, computers, watching her detective T.V. shows, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Her family includes her husband, Mike Gilbreath of Winfield; her daughter, Ashley Gilbreath of Winfield; her grandchildren, Ivy and Evelyn Gilbreath of Winfield; her sister, Billie and husband, Leon of Wichita; and several nieces and nephews.
Lori was preceded in death by her parents and three siblings.
Memorial services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at Miles Funeral Service in Winfield.
A memorial has been established in Lori’s name for the American Diabetes Association. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
