Lori's obituary

Lori Miles Cook, 50, of Chesterfield, Virgina, passed away on January 2, 2022, after fighting a long, courageous, and brave battle with cancer. She is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Earl and Shirley Miles; maternal grandparents, William and Dorothy Buckner; and stepfather, Larry Scott . She is survived by her husband, Tim Cook; son, Christopher Miller (Michelle); daughter, Heather Andrick (Chris); grandchildren, Morgan Andrick and Chloe Andrick; father, Glenn Miles (Gwen); mother, Dorothy Scott; brothers, Eric Miles (Erin), Matthew Miles (Jenna), and Keith Scott (Lynn) as well as many uncles, aunts, nephews and nieces . Lori graduated from Varina High School and studied at both Virginia Wesleyan University and Virginia Commonwealth University. She had a successful banking career as a dedicated and hardworking associate with Circuit City’s Banking Division, First North American National Bank and Truist (formerly Suntrust Bank) where she was employed as a Senior Vendor Manager at the time of her death. Lori was a caring and loving wife to her perfect match, Tim. She was the apple of her father’s eye and both her mother’s and childrens’ best friend. Lori enjoyed spending time with her family and spoiling everyone around her. She adored her granddaughters and they were often “dressed” to match. When she wasn’t cuddling her grandbabies, she was cuddling her beloved feline fur babies. She will be remembered for her unconditional love, kindness, sense of humor, strength, and bravery. She was a loving and supporting wife, daughter, mother, “sissy”, aunt and friend with a huge heart and she will be dearly missed. A celebration of life for family and friends will be held on Saturday, February 12th, 2022 from 1 PM to 5 PM. Please contact the family directly for the address and directions to the celebration of life. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to The American Cancer Society or Richmond Animal League.
