Mr. Lorenzo Marzino Cooper passed away peacefully on October 17, 2019, at the Good Samaritan Society. Mr. Cooper was born in Lake City, FL on November 8, 1938 to Andrew and Maggie Cooper (both deceased). He was the youngest and the last of six children. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Sandra Cooper, brothers Herbert Cooper (Thelma), Pete Cooper (Patricia, deceased), Samuel Cooper (Joann), James Cooper and sister Katherine Caldwell.
Lorenzo was a Daytona native and graduated from Campbell High School in 1961 before he served his country in the United States Air Force in 1961. After his discharge he returned to Florida.
Lorenzo is survived by his sons, Lorenzo Cooper Jr (Sonya)of Detroit, MI, Alving Williams (Tonia) and L. Marino Cooper of Daytona Beach, FL; daughters Lorena Cooper and Lynne Cooper of Detroit, MI, Florence Williams and Loretta Cooper of Daytona Beach, FL; sisters-in-law, Thelma Cooper of Daytona Beach, FL and Joann Frierson Cooper of Jacksonville, FL; a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren, loving relatives and friends.
The funeral service will be held Saturday, November 2, 2019 at R.J. Gainous Funeral Home, 804 Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune Blvd., Daytona Beach, FL 32114. He will be laid to rest at the Cape Canaveral Veteran Cemetery on Monday, November 4, 2019 @ 11:00a.
